What is Taguig Scholarship?

Taguig Scholarship stands for Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-need — a Taguig scholarship program supporting qualified students across various tracks and circumstances.

What are the Basic Qualification Criteria?

  1. Applicant must already be enrolled;
  2. If 18 years old or older, applicant must be an active voter of Taguig;
  3. At least one of the parents an active voter of Taguig;
  4. Family must be residents of Taguig for at least three (3) years; and
  5. Of good moral character both in paper and in actual behavior.

What requirements must be submitted?

Prepare TWO (2) SETS:
SET 1 Authenticated / Certified True copies and photocopies — to be submitted to Taguig Scholarship Office
SET 2 Original Copies — for verification
For Renewing Applicants

Submit the following:

  1. Authenticated or Certified True Copy of Official Enrollment Form / Registration Form / Certificate of Matriculation for the current semester (for Trimester and Quarter Terms, current term).
  2. Authenticated or Certified True Copy of Certificate of Grades last semester (with school seal/official signature; for Trimester and Quarter Terms, grades for the past two (2) terms).
  3. Photocopy of School ID or any VALID Government-Issued ID (within the validity period), back-to-back on a single page, bearing the applicant’s printed name and signature.
For New Applicants

Submit the following:

  1. Authenticated / Certified True Copy of Official Enrollment / Registration / Certificate of Matriculation for the current semester (for Trimester or Quarter Terms, current term).
  2. Authenticated / Certified True Copy of Certificate of Grades last semester (with school seal/official signature; for Trimester and Quarter Terms, grades for the past two (2) terms).
  3. Photocopy of Junior High School Certificate / Grade 10 Report Card / Certification from the Principal.
  4. Photocopy of Senior High School Diploma / Grade 12 Report Card / Certification from the Principal.
  5. Photocopy of School ID or any VALID Government-Issued ID (within the validity period), back-to-back on a single page, bearing the applicant’s printed name and signature.
  6. Birth Certificate issued by PSA/NSO/Civil Registry.
Other necessary requirements (if applicable)
  • Certified True Copy of Elementary and/or High School Form 137 (if JHS not completed in Taguig/contiguous LGU but SHS is).
  • Certificate of Academic Excellence / Certification from the Principal (Top 10 for Honors Scholars).
  • ALS Certificate (if ALS Graduate in Taguig or nearby LGU).
  • EVS or ESC Voucher/Certification (for EVS/ESC Graduates).
  • Course Curriculum / Curriculum Checklist (if enrolled below 15 units).
  • Application for Graduation / Certificate of Candidacy for Graduation (if graduating this term).
  • Transcript of Records (shiftee, transferee, ladderized, and/or continuing).
  • Updated PDAO Endorsement and ID (Priority/PWD scholars).
  • Original + 1 photocopy of Comelec Stub (issued after May 2022 elections).
  • Death Certificate (Parent) (PSA/NSO/Civil Registry).
  • Work Contract / VISA / Passport (if any or both parents are OFWs).

What are Merit Incentives?

  • In addition to the allowance, merit incentives are provided to encourage diligent study and foster excellence among students.
  • This is for renewing scholars with a Semestral Weighted Average (SWA) of “88.75%” or higher, or its equivalent, for the previous semester with at least 15 units earned, with no failing marks, incomplete, blank or no grade subjects, dropped subjects.
  • Grades for P.E. & NSTP are not included in the computation.
  • Merit incentives are applied after the immediately preceding semester.

NOTE: New Applicant is not eligible to apply for MERIT INCENTIVE.


How to compute grades for Merit Incentives?

  1. Multiply each subject grade by its credit units.
  2. Get the sum of all the grades computed.
  3. Divide the total computed grades by the total credit units.

TCU-CEAA Program

What is TCU-CEAA?

All TCU students are scholars of the City in so far as their education is paid for by funds from the Taguig City Government. CEAA exists to ease daily costs (transportation, meals, and school requirements) so students can enroll, finish, and excel.

What are the Basic Qualification Criteria?

  1. Already enrolled at TCU.
  2. If 18+, applicant is an active voter of Taguig.
  3. At least one parent is an active voter of Taguig.
  4. Family residents of Taguig for at least 3 years.
  5. Of good moral character.
Legal Basis

Under Ordinance No. 08, s. 2019 — “An Ordinance Providing Educational Assistance Allowance and Merit Incentive to Qualified and Deserving College Students of Taguig City University.”

Educational Assistance & Merit Incentive

  • Qualified TCU college students receive educational assistance each semester for school and daily expenses.
  • Merit incentives are granted to scholars who meet the required SWA.

Merit Incentive
₱5,000

Per semester for SWA = 88.75.

Maintaining the Educational Assistance

  • Fill out the online application form during the application period every semester.
  • Upload and submit all required documents each semester.
  • GWA for the duration of TCU-CEAA must be = 80%.
  • No failing marks, incomplete, blank/no grade subjects, or drops.
  • Carry a load of at least 15 units per semester.
Violations
  1. 1st offense — probation/warning
  2. 2nd offense — suspension for the semester
  3. 3rd offense — termination from the program

Taguig Learners Certificate (TLC) Scholarship Program

TLC Scholarship Program

What is TLC?

TLC (Taguig Learners Certificate) is a scholarship program of the City of Taguig for qualified students in Grades 7–12. It helps cover tuition and school-related costs so learners can continue and complete their studies.

Who can apply to the TLC program?

  1. Has graduated from any Public Elementary School in Taguig and has studied in a public school in Taguig for the last or a total of three (3) years.
  2. Will enroll as Grade 7.
  3. Of good moral character as certified by the school principal.
  4. Parent/s have been residents of Taguig for at least three (3) years.
  5. Parent/s are registered and active voters of Taguig for the past three (3) years prior to application.
  6. Participation is voluntary and requires a signed parent/guardian consent committing to guide and support the applicant.

What documents are required?

Submit the following:

  1. Original Student Application Form.
  2. Certified True Copy of FORM 137.
  3. Original Certification from the School (from the Adviser or Principal) confirming that the student/applicant is an elementary graduate this year and is of good moral character.
  4. Barangay Residency Certificate of one (1) parent/guardian (or the student) showing residency in Taguig for at least three (3) years.
  5. Photocopy of the applicant’s Birth Certificate.
  6. Optional, but speeds up processing: COMELEC Voter’s Certification of one (1) parent, issued after May 9, 2022 elections.

What benefits can you receive?
